Pretty sure he meant Moliere. At least, that's who jumped to my mind when I read CJF's post.Originally posted by Pheidippides View PostUnfortunately, I'm not. Maybe a couple dozen. There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Yeah, that's if you follow the default route for cars. I clicked on the route for walking. The cycling route is a whopping 3200 miles or so.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostGoogle tells me 2,904 miles from Times Square to PacBell/SBC/AT&T. The suggested route goes through SLC, not Logan. ...

Unfortunately all my miles are reported 5 minutes after my workout. I like to input them right away so I can see who I jumped in the standings before they all get out and kick my butt again
At some point I'll put together a map. My calling and work have been killing my free time and I have to figure out how to use the new Google maps. I've got some time off later this week so maybe then I'll get to it."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. After a week of worse-than-usual hours and a sore foot, I got back on the road this morning and felt much better afterwards. Now I have to resist the temptation to head out again tomorrow as not to overdo it, but hopefully I can add some mileage soon.I have nothing else to say at this time.

I did the triathlon today. A few observations:
1. Swimming for training is different when you are not getting kicked/kicking power/getting cut off. It is a different creature.
2. 10-15 mph winds are rare in Phoenix, but they appeared today. That they were going against the uphill part of the ride really sucked.
3. They'd run uphill against the wind also sucked.
That said, I finished without a hiccup, albeit, not as well as I would have liked.
Total time was 1:37:17.
400 m swim: 10:21
16 mile bike: 53:39
5k run : 33:17"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

Nice! I considered Kiawah with a friend who loves the race, but ended up staying closer to home last month.Originally posted by eldiente View Postkiawah island South Carolina http://www.kiawahresort.com/recreati...sland-marathon

Way to go! I would say it sounds fun, but each of your legs sounded rough. Hopefully not as topper-esque as it sounds. When's the next one?Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostI did the triathlon today. A few observations:

Probably in the spring. I toyed with the idea of the St George 1/2 iron man, but today taught me that I need to drop another 35 lbs before considering it. Cedar city has a sprint tri in April that I am planning. It was a good day, minus the wind. Take it out of the equation and I would have been quite pleased.Originally posted by Parrot Head View PostNice!
