You didn't even consider a wet suit did you?

Not a chance. I know, because I wear some under my board shorts when I swim. Get them tight enough and they won't even budge.

This sounds like it will get tedious after about two weeks. Or, if it is more helpful to you, after about 336 almonds.

    Thanks, A-hole.

During that time I've been on a weekend trip to Austin, and two business trips, so um....my eating habits are not quite as disciplined when I don't have a drawer full of almonds and gallon jugs of water at my immediate disposal. Also, sometimes lunch gets dicey, and I have to work my ass off at night to earn those calories back.

After I put the kids to bed, I head to the gym and do resistance/circuit training. I don't do anything fixed, but I try to make sure I'm working different muscle groups. After that, I swim laps for 30 minutes, then head home.

My diet is simple: In the morning, I have two apples, a Kind bar, and 24 almonds. If I get hungry before lunch, then I eat more almonds/apples. I drink a gallon of water a day (I buy the gallon jugs at the store...it's a little mroe expensive, but it helps me to remember to drink), and I don't drink any sort of soda or juice. At lunch, I just don't eat anything fried and try to include some meat (don't care if it's lean or not...if it's fatty, I'll reduce how much I eat). I eat a lot of salads at lunch. My go-to restaurant lunch is from Chipotle: 3 chicken soft tacos on corn tortillas with fajita veggies and pico de gallo. It equals about 450 calories, which is nothing for a guy my size. Dinner is the hardest for me. I'm at my wife's mercy, and she cooks a lot of pasta. I will occassionally smoke some meat and steam some veggies and put them in the fridge for backup meals. It works well, but if my wife cooks healthy meals, I often end up wasting some pretty damn delicious food. Fortunately, with the amount of exercise I do, I can consume a shit ton of calories per day.
I've dropped 12 pounds in the last month. I'm hoping to recapture some of last year's magic for another 75 pound loss.

I think that's one too many almonds. Maybe drop it to 23.
