We are half way through Pennsylvania. If we get a big day from everyone today we will make it to the goal. Otherwise we might be pulling into Times Square at that same time the street sweepers are cleaning up from the party.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
4.3 miles this morning to finish off my contribution to the challenge. Knowing that I will be up until 2:00 or 2:30am tonight cleaning up after a youth dance, there is no way that I would have normally gotten up at 5:30 on NYE.
I'm still confident that someone out there is hoarding their miles and will come in, riding on their white horse, 200 unlogged miles in hand, and save the day. Who will it be???
I passed Cupcake today to put me into 6th place. I'm also prepared to run a couple extra miles in case someone tries to pass me by a .10 of a mile

I'm heading out (in freezing temps!) to put in a final five-miler. But even if we have a normal day, we'll fall about 80 miles short. One hopes there are unreported miles (Douger? Hostile? Slim? FN Phat?), but the biggest problem has been injuries to a couple of otherwise stalwart contributors.
I wonder if Stroudsburg PA puts on much of a New Year's Eve party.
I slipped on ice last week and haven't been able to do much more than move down the hallway. I'm afraid I'm done for the year. Thanks Moliere for the challenge. It helped motivate on more than one occasion

13 and change for me today.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
And CJF swoops in, in all his glory, and saves the expedition.
I'm about to add at least 6 more, and that'll be it for me. Having to take those three days off cost me about 22 total miles but otherwise I did what I hoped to do.
I've been walking 2.5 miles a day for 8 weeks. Do walking miles count?
Not if they weren't done with the 2012 Holiday Running Challenge in mind. Sorry!

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

It was not. I cannot run yet so and I wanted to go into 2013 on a little bit of a routine. I have put in 15 miles a week since Nov 5th but strictly to give myself a head start for bigger goals in 2013. I just did my final weigh in for 2012. I am very happy with my progress the last 5 months. I hope I can keep it going for 2013.

Nice. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Pay no attention to Donuthole, who is just casting peanuts from the gallery. They count. Put 'em in, and good job!
