Game on! The mileage you put up is amazing. I don't care what speed you do it at.
Keeps me off meds
I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

You keep putting 17 milers on the board - there is no way under heaven I'll catch you
HFN - don't over do it!

We're heading to "The Festival of Trees" tonight so I had to cut my walk short. Dang I had a chance to catch Niku

FYI, I've put a link to the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread so its easier to find. Thanks to bluegoose for the suggestion.
In related news, I ran 11 miles this morning!

Did I miss what makes a run get highlighted in green?
I can't figure it out, but I did change mine from magenta to green at the outset. As that was several days ago my aged memory banks are now worthless on the matter.
And way to step it up, HFN; glad you're back on the road. With a little more help today (25 miles or so), we'll be moving through the 84101 today.
I was pretty sore and creaky all week, but I forced myself to go 9 miles yesterday and strangely, I feel better this morning than I have in over a week--no soreness. It's a 2012HRC miracle!
I am really a novice. I just started this year, but wow.
Good on you guys. I hope to rreach that level someday.
I don't know if you're talking to me or not, but for me it's been a build up. I couldn't have done these miles last year, for example. And I'm pushing my own envelope as it is with this training.
Just remember that at the beginning of 2009 I couldn't even run a mile. In four years I've gone from coach potato fat man to six marathons (seventh in a month) and with a bit of luck an Ironman in May. I have no special physical gifts. I am not extraordinary. Consistency and perseverance. And a little bit of crazy. You have those, you'll be as much of a nutball as me in no time!
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
I'd like to do a marathon eventually, but I think I'll run a few half's first. I like the half distance and I think I'm more suited for that, but it's fun to train for those. I ran my first half this year and I think my brother and I might do 3 or 4 a year going forward.

Ironman would be nuts.
Good plan. Halfs are great races - I have one this weekend. I can do one a week or every other week. I can only do 2-3 fulls a year.
Btw, you don't have to do my kind of mileage to finish a marathon. You do to max your speed in the marathon, but certainly not to run one.

Oh, agreed. I am fat and slow. I was about 310 at the start of the year. I got down to 285 while just training for a half. I want to get to 270 by the end of the year. I am about 278 right now, I'm on track.
I don't write this stuff down here to humblebrag or anything. I just think it helps with accountability.
