I went on vacation for 10 days, and I gained a few pounds. Bummer.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI am really hitting a wall. Very frustrating.
Edit: Back on track. I dropped 5 lbs in five days to be back at pre-vacation weight.Last edited by Green Monstah; 09-22-2011, 08:17 AM.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

danimal has been really doing great with his weight loss. I alternate between being pissed at him for losing it so quickly and being totally turned on by his new svelte bod.Originally posted by SuperGabers View PostOkay. Pep talk. Who needs one? I sure as hell do.
Otherwise, he is an inspiration. You need to get UtahDan on the bandwagon to support you. It's easier when you are miserable together.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

I plateaued for the first time this week. Actually up a half pound. Diet has taken me this far, but I guess i'm going to have to exercise after all.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I love the word "svelte"!

I haven't read it, but I am a believer. in high school and college I was a lowfat/fat free vegetarian and I was pushing 150 pounds. I started running and dropped 10 fairly quickly. After I started eating meat again, I dropped another 5 or so. I am pretty much just eating meat, vegetables, cheese and butter (which I don't think are allowed technically on the paleolithic diet) and almonds sparingly. I just weighed in at 127.8 today. Hooray!Originally posted by Borg View PostPrimal Blueprint...I'm a believer.
For the last 10 years, I've hammered out centuries rides, cycled a zillion miles until I was blue in the face. Started running last year fairly steady... BUT...all that did was in crease my appetite and NOTHING changed no matter how hard I worked out.
For me, it is 'what you eat' that really matters.
Since I read that crazy book, it has literally changed everything about how I eat and why. I can buy into this dudes philosophy and something finally makes sense to me, explains why my cholesterol is high, etc.
I've changed the way I eat, and what I eat. Never feel gross after eating a meal anymore (unless I go fast fooding)...and I've dropped 20 lbs. Never have been able to do that in the past. And I'm a fairly active fellow.
Fruits, veggies and meats. Carbs are of the devil.
Grains will never be a part of my regular diet again. What's to explain?
