A couple of other rules issues we ought to address...
Recruiting, aka the Archaea rule--how involved do people need to be on the board to enter a team? I'm sort of fine with an exception for arch, but it'll bug me if he's the difference between us winning and losing. As for others? Minimum number of posts? Merely registered on the board? I'd move for active members (say, >50 posts) and their spouses.
Activities - I suggested fitness as primary goal earlier, but that seems sort of vague. How about aerobic (HR>120) and strength training? I don't think casual walks around the neighborhood with the family should count. Neither should leisurely hiking. If you push it, i.e. a little breathless or your HR >120, then count it; otherwise, I'm thinking of all kinds of activities that will work their way in, especially if it's close.
