Speaking of cool races ... This is a race that they do in Columbus:
Arnold 5k Pump and Run
They reduce yor 5k time by 30 seconds for each bench press rep you can do of your body weight (maximum 30 reps). The slots are limited and it fills up really fast. Do they do races like this anywhere else?

Wow...that would cut my 5K PR down to...let's see...my PR.Originally posted by pelagius View PostSpeaking of cool races ... This is a race that they do in Columbus:

I don't like races like that.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

That race looks fun, but I don't know if I would even bother with the hassle of getting to a relay that's only 50 miles, especially with 5 runners. If it were a 2 or 3 person relay, I'd think about it.Originally posted by ERCougar View Post

Uh, they would most likely have to add seconds to my time due to inability to complete a lift, so I'm out.Originally posted by pelagius View PostSpeaking of cool races ... This is a race that they do in Columbus:

You can do it as a 2 or 3 person race; it's just a maximum of 5. Of course, you're racing against others with 5 people so maybe that doesn't change your mind.Originally posted by Teenage Dirtbag View PostThat race looks fun, but I don't know if I would even bother with the hassle of getting to a relay that's only 50 miles, especially with 5 runners. In any case, it's close to where I live and it's cheap, so it's not a big deal for us.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
