Motivated by the wisdom and advice of the CUF Collective, I rested up yesterday (two naps!), did only a little work, and then headed out this morning to see how far I could go while recovering from my first cold in years. Happily, I got in the full 70 miles, with 3500 feet of climbing. I feel pretty tired, but surprisingly good; in fact, better than when I began, although I was ejecting the effects of my cold over the first thirty miles, and I pity the foo' who was drafting me heading out Patterson Pass.

I'll be ready for next week's century. Thanks for the encouragement.

Glad you're feeling much better. Give us a report after the century.
