The one place at dv that I have been able to find relatively good snow is the Empire chutes.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostWent to dv today. Snow was ok, not great."You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."

Funny you should mention that. We were nosing around that silver creek express or whatever it was called and then made our way over to the left...bunch of chutes over there and the chair is called Mahoney or mahogany or something like that. It was icy by 2pm and also very windy. We were told to head over to that empire express chair because the snow tends to be better over there. We make our way over to that side of the mountain and after one run and noticeably better snow....chairs close. Grrrr.Originally posted by hostile View PostThe one place at dv that I have been able to find relatively good snow is the Empire chutes.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Sad news for anybody who skied at Targhee--"Slim," who was a liftie there for the entire 45 seasons since the hill opened, passed away on Wed.

Beautiful day at Brighton today. I'm a horrible park skier, but since there weren't many people there today, I messed around in there a bit before heading out of bounds to find some fresh snow. Not the best powder in the world, but it was fun. When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party. --Tuck Pendleton

Sincere question: I'm not a skier, so I don't know how skiers really view this stuff, but when heading out of bounds, do you worry about avalanche danger? You watch the news and it seems that is all they talk about - that by skiing out of bounds, you are essentially taking your own life. Is the media blowing it all out of proportion or are you just a crazy ass son of a gun? Or do you just know where to go to avoid the avalanche conditions?Originally posted by BrutusBuckeye View PostBeautiful day at Brighton today.
