    Looks good as well

    • I don't recommend the 2nd option above. Looks like loose clothing could get snagged on it.

Probably works for cabinets at eye level, but I wouldn't use it on drawers.

      • We went with the third option. I am getting them installed on Wednesday. It will be nice to have cabinets that are not a huge pain in the ass to open.

        • The handles are installed. I'm not convinced the cabinets look better, but they are actually functional now. I'm shocked it took this long for anyone to put hardware on the cabinets.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

                • Surprising how much a difference light fixtures can make.

We finally got sick of of the fan in our room and in the living room. Picked up a couple of pretty simple matte black fans with a light and replaced both this weekend. Huge difference. We also replaced a light fixture over the stairs with a simple globe light from IKEA. Again, huge difference.

Yep. One of the first things we did when we moved here.

                    • Ah, I now have a new project that I was not expecting. When we were buying our house, we had some concerns about the front landscaping and approval of it. Our agent asked the sellers about the landscaping and we were told "The seller stated landscaping should comply with HOA guidelines. The HOA has not raised any concerns regarding the property’s landscaping." Well, we got notice yesterday that we aren't in compliance. They put in red lava rock that isn't compliant. It looks like I'll need to remove all that and replace it with an approved bark. Fortunately, it isn't a huge area and I don't think it will be too much of a pain, but I am annoyed that I now have to do this. Also, I'm surprised they didn't tag us for the bark color where there is bark in the front landscaping, because it is not consistent with the Daybreak color. I probably should address that as well while I am at it.

I told you bro, rocks suck!

Bark isn't that great either, by the way, especially dyed barks. Best is finer-grained compost, but bark is still better than rocks.

Yeah, it doesn't look good. I just don't want to deal with this now. I would have preferred to deal with it next year.

It really is going to be what is approved. I don't want to have to go through the whole design review process to get something approved. I asked the HOA what is approved now and that is what I am going to do.

Bad news here. I have found out more about Whitney and Justin Rose. I was right, they were on the Island. However, they have moved out of Daybreak, so they are no longer in my hood. I have walked by the house that they used to own and have even seen some places where they have filmed scenes of the RHOSLC.
