When I mow grass, it's with one of these. It's 20 feet wide, and takes care of brush and small trees, too.

I just picked up a Honda yesterday off Craigslist. It's just like the one you other Honda users have. Self-propelled RWD. The thing looked brand new. I asked the old guy if he even used it and he said 4 times. And it looks it. Hardly any show of gas trimmings under the carriage and the motor was spotless. Apparently he didn't like the variable speed of the self propelled transmission and went bought a Toro with FWD and always on self propelled transmission. So I took it off his hands for $275. I almost feel bad taking it from him for that. The EZ-start pull is awesome. I pull even and slow and it starts right up. First pull every time.

I have a honda pro... I swear I have had it for nearly 15 years and it's still going strong. I may need to rebuild the carb since it is not starting the way it use to.

Have owned my mower since 2000. Still starts as effortlessly today as it did on the day I bought it.

When did they ban vented gas cans? I haven't bought one in forever and all of my old man's are vented because they're about 10-15 years old. Every gas can out there now sucks. Remedied with my own hole in it, but it is pretty stupid to have non venting fuel cans. Seems more hazardous than the spillage the gov is worried about.

Since we became homeowners in 1998, we've live two years in Charlotte, three years in Fort Worth, three years in Gilberts, IL and now seven years in Lehi. Moving companies make it a pain to move a mower, so with each move we've dumped a mower in the old place and bought a new one upon our arrival at the new place. We always get self-propelled and we always buy last year's model in march or April at HD or Lowes. And we only get a mower that is either a brand-name or says Briggs & Stratton on the engine. So far the only one I regret leaving was a snapper that we had in tx. We shoulda moved it. The one we have now is having problems self-propelled functinality stopped this spring, but that's really for my son to worry about. The engine still works like a charm. Keep the blade sharp, and it does a nice job.

The other must haves - a gas powered string trimmer, a gas powered edger and a gas powered blower. All four cycle (keeping two cycle gas sucks). All with bigger engines than I thought necessary, since bigger engines are WAY easier to start than little ones. All Also bought at Lowes or HD as last season's closeouts for about half of what they cost the previous fall.

John deere lawn mower. Echo weed eater. And I'm one of few people I know that actually change the oil, change the air filter, and clean out the carb on my lawn mower. And neighbor wonders why he has to replace his lawn mower every year while I don't have to. My weed eater might be my personal favorite though. I to bought more engine than needed. And being an echo I know it'll be reliable forever. In fact, every spring, it takes 2 pulls only to fire it up.

Imagine a 15 year old version of this and that's about what I've got. Keep in mind that the areas I have to mow is literally 15' x 10'. We inherited this from the previous owner of our home and it has been great.

                        Is that the hybrid model?

honestly, I don't know. It's the closest thing to what I have, which is just a basic black and decker electric mower; no battery, no mulching, no bag. It does have this cool feature that allows you to reverse the handle so that you don't have to turn the mower 180 degrees, just go to the end of the line, switch the handle and go.

I have a Black and Decker battery trimmer. I'd never go back to gas, and definitely would never go back to a cord.

I use an electric mower on my small yard, too. It's definitely not as powerful as a gas mower, but it's not like I'm trying to mow down tall, thick weeds. When I move to a house with a larger yard one of these days, I'll buy a gas mower, but for now, the electric works just fine.
                              Not that, sickos.

seeing as how this is the last house I ever want to live in, I hope mine lasts forever.
