Tick and I used to have a heated discussion about this a lot because I love coffee. I still go down the coffee isle just for the smell, when I actually go to the store, that is Tick's enjoyment. Anyway, I just find it WOW interesting. It has a lot of good advice but what bothers me is that many pple eat or stuff their face with far worse things than coffee and tea. I mean some pple get real literal about it (coffee) but doesn't chocolate have coffee in it and isn't coffee really beans? Beans are a vegetable and isn't that recommended in the WOW.... IDK, it is something we don't talk about in our house unless we are ready to rumble. Same with drinking. I still don't drink but before I joined the church, I enjoyed wine coolers and an occassional corona here and there. Coffee, for me, at the time, keep me sane, now I have to take anit-depressants to stay sane....I wonder how the church will deal with that in the future, I know it's bad in Utah.

His question was why can Mormons drink diet coke but not coffee? He thought it was because the LDS church doesn't own folger. I don't really have a good response.

Coffee is a "hot drink". Coke is not.

Hence, you may not drink hot coke but can drink an ice latte.
