I dressed up for the morning session. I figured that I needed to show a little more respect if we were going to do the Hosanna Shout. It was a bit difficult for me and my wife to sing along with The Spirit of God, with the Tabernacle Choir singing something else in the background and no words to help keep us on track. It might have been easier in a larger group.

Now I need to go track down the new proclamation and read it over a few times. It was NOT on the church web site instantly after it was announced. I'm now curious what all of the other proclamations are, since I can only think of two or three.

Man, you guys are such meanies.

I knew Bonnie in high school; her older sister is my age. Awesome family; their dad was a Seventy. Her (the sister's) daughter is in my ward, too.

That was pretty awesome. So glad I could be part of this conference. More often than not I miss them because of work.

That was a beautiful session of conference. Lots of tears shed in our house this morning.

I am surprised at how moving the music has been. That is one thing I really miss doing home church - the hymns.

Yep. My kids enjoyed the HS. The cherry on top would've been spotting my aunt that sang in the choir at the time and passed away in 2005 (in her fifties). Unfortunately she wasn't shown.

Yeah, super lame. We get two DHO talks this GC: One to clarify vernacular around the priesthood and another to re-quadruple down on the anti gay stuff.

EDIT: until that last announcement, I was worried we might not get to hear from Dieter U.

A temple that does 12 endowment sessions a year. That sounds about his speed, actually.
