"Speculation about doctrinal or policy changes is something that is no longer allowed on the site.
This change in how we implement the religion rule was made several months ago as part of the last change to the rules. The text we use in explaining it is this: "Polls or discussions about whether the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will change its doctrine are not the type of religious discussion we'd like to see here. They tend to degrade into pointless arguments." There are several parts of the religion rule which we've based this policy on, although it's never stated quite so explicitly.

If you have any questions about the rules, please use the "Ask the moderators a question" feature on the Rules page (that's now linked in the footer, if you're trying to find it).

You're welcome to use your friends only lists to speculate, complain about the rules, or even complain about me. Please leave it out of gen pop, or you will receive a penalty.
