Alas, I'm going to move closer to work in SLC before they even break ground.

Not sure where Shaka lives, but I just took a look at the Utah county records. It looks like the church owns a lot of land in Saratoga springs.

I'm hoping they build it on their land on the South/West side of pioneer crossing, where the road curves North and joins with sr 73.

The other possibility is the huge chunk of land South of the middle and high school.

My guess is that it will either on the southwest corner of the land south of the high school which will put it close to the border of Eagle Mountain. There is a bluff there high enough you could see the temple all the way across the valley. Another option is the far south side of the land south of the high school. This butts right up against The Benches neighborhood where I live. There is a smaller bluff there that would also make a good location.

I'm walking distance to a temple. Driving it would take me less than 3 minutes.

I live about 3.5 miles from the Manhattan temple but it takes 25 min to get there. Typically much longer if I drove.

A Wife with a Purpose really seemed to enjoy this talk. That's all I need to know.

I fell asleep in 3 out of the 5 sessions. Made it through Priesthood just fine thanks to the hard chairs in the cultural hall and because it was only 90 minutes. Didn't fall asleep during Sunday afternoon as I spent half the time looking at vacation stuff on the internet and the other half cleaning stuff up in hte backyard.

The talks I did hear, though, were really good. Great conference and I love how the theme has moved away from constantly beating the same old notes (e.g. porn) and has moved towards discipleship and living a Christ-like life in how we treat people.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I think they all do. A better articulated opinion, IMVWAO, is that his perspective and personality aligns moreso with the majority of us who participate in this venue. Hence the aspects that he emphasizes and the manner in which he does so resonates with us. Others's perspective and personalities resonate with Elder Bednar. Not my cup of postum, but to each their own. However, I wouldn't recommend getting arrogant enough to believe President Dieter Uchtdorf has any enhanced perspective on things just because you find yourself agreeing with him. Just appreciate that our wing has some representation in influential places. Once you lose that representation you could find yourself digressing, line upon line yea verily precept upon precept, into a whining pussy. Conference was once again great. As a fellow who splits his time between his beloved home the Rockland Valley of Zion and his upscale Eagle Mountain townhouse....my temple trips just got significantly shorter in 3-5 more years. Since temple worship is one of my favorite aspects of mormonism, this fancies me greatly!

I have 7 within a 2 hr drive (Star Valley, Ogden, Rexburg, Brigham City, Logan, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls). IF and TF are at about 1:15 and the two I go to most frequently. IF is our district but my mother lives in TF so we get free babysitting and it fulfills my goodsonly requirements of visiting my mother. Now I will have one at about 45 minutes.

I hope they use railroad ties and tracks throughout the temple decor.

This is right. It has been very interesting to watch all the Dieter love. He certainly isn't a typical theologian. From the few talks I've heard, he really doesn't worry about the details that turn off some members in various states of belief. The love seems to come from two camps; those who are tired of hearing the 'beat-down' topics and just want to be lifted up, and women .

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
