"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
Priesthood goes an hour and a half...and folks think the church isn't progressive. Psh.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I hope they keep it that way even after TSM passes

I feel so happy for the long suffering members in Saratoga Springs. They will no longer have to travel the arduous 20 minute journey to the American Fork temple.

That 3-piece purple suit Rasband had on his mission would either make HFN proud or annoyed. Not sure which.

I think a lot of people like me have stopped going very often to Mt. Timp because it was always so crowded. I've been there several times when the chapel overflows and people are waiting out in the halls. You have to wait several sessions to get in.
I realize its a first world Mormon problem, but the new temple will make a big difference and will be well used.
