Sounds Easy and 5 Buck were both well below average, but the price was right. Didn't 5 buck also throw in a gallon of their root beer as well? Again objectively not great but we drank it. Brick Oven may be the most overrated pizza I have ever had. It's not bad, but just nowhere near what people say about it, especially in my time at the BYU. And just to be fair and balanced: the Pie is also extremely overrated.
I like Lucy's near Center in Orem.

I have never been but will give it a try next time I'm down there. On my list the current leader for most authentic NY pizza on the Wasatch Front is Villagio's on State near 3300 South.

I should qualify that by saying I've never been to NYC.

We have so much in common!

Had it for lunch today. It was good and had Cutthroat on tap, so that was a big positive.

                • New honor code/dress and grooming policy announced for all CES institutions. More principles-based, but still a few prescriptive items (beards still a no go).

It's about time BYU-I got in line with BYU. I guarantee you that a lot of the old guard will have a hard time with this change. It is Rexburg so they only have about two more weeks of shorts weather anyway so it' won't really change much. For me I can now go into the Hart Building for my swim wearing shorts.

Yeah, this will have the biggest impact at BYU-I. Not that much at BYU.

                        • The beard thing, in 2023, is dumb. Curse you Ernie Wilkinson. Also, it may be a typo but the CES Honor Code section says everyone must "Participate regularly in Church services." It's a lower case "c" in the Ecclesiastical Endorsement questions. I assume they're not requiring non-LDS students to attend LDS services.

                            No, they aren't.

I'm not sure if I have told this story here before, but here goes.

When my mom was at BYU she was on the track team. One day after practice, she and some teammates were walking back across campus from a work-out wearing shorts. At some point they realized that the man walking not too far in front of them was good ol Ernest. Their only hope was that he would not turn around and see them. They felt like they dodged a bullet that day when he continued merrily on his way.
