Here's what it says on the "Events" tab on the Julie Rowe website:

Contracts null and void on energy sessions. Need to focus on my own family, my own health, and my own duties, obligations, and responsibilities.
Sounds to me like she needs an energy session of her own. If she wanted to Skype me, I could probably offer some platitudes at a reasonable price.

Trying to get over my end-of-the-world hangover but let me take a look...

Looks like a little concerning this SLTrib article:

        alf.jpg

And folks are a way bent out of shape concerning this LDSMag posting, calling Julie Rowe a false prophet of Doom:

Why Do Some Latter-day Saints Flock to False Prophets of Doom?

Last week the LDS Church officially distanced itself from author Julie Rowe’s book, A Greater Tomorrow on a page directed to institute and seminary teachers under the heading “Spurious Materials in Circulation.”

It read “Although Sister Rowe is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, her book is not endorsed by the Church and should not be recommended to students or used as a resource in teaching them. The experiences she shares are her own personal experiences and do not necessarily reflect Church doctrine or they may distort Church doctrine.”

In this rousing book, which has garnered over 250 reviews on Amazon, most of them five star and laudatory, Rowe devotes considerable time to the coming bad times—which she suggests are imminent–and the mass evacuation of Mormons and other peoples of faith to form tent cities as places of refuge.

She says there will be “hundreds” of tent cities, “many dozens” of places of refuge, and about six cities of light (p. 61) heavily concentrated in North America but especially in Utah. The time to prepare to live in these tent cities is now and people should watch for special instructions from their leaders.

Otherwise it is rather quite over there. I am guessing that most of them went camping this weekend.

Her website says no refunds on the $25 phone calls. Her fans may not be happy.

I am betting she had a long talk with her bishop/SP during the blood moon and her world came to an end last night. So I guess her prophecies are true!

What the hell? She said the contracts are null and void, yet she's keeping the money?!

So it seems there was maybe just a little mix up on event headlines.

I heard some people close to her were worried about her mental state. Reading that rambling post, I wouldn't be surprised that if she had some mental illness.

A con artist is one thing. People who truly believe in alternative healing is another. It's a slippery slope from my PT friend who believes in reflexology to someone who does energy healing sessions online.

I had assumed that Rowe could be a huckster or a true believer, without significant mental issues. But reading that she just seems off.

I believe in reflexology to the extent that I like getting $39 75 minute massages by Chinese immigrants. Is there something more to it than that?
