SU, when you get tired of the Jesus stuff you should think about writing a biography of BRM. I'd read it.
I simply mean that he was once at or near the summit of the LDS deification of their leaders. He was something that doesn't much exist anymore in the LDS Church. A pop star, a genuine charismatic. He and Paul H. Dunn, Gene R. Cook, Mark E. Peterson, Hartman Rector (I'm probably missing some), actually entertained; they made general conference in a way enjoyable. But he's now considered a crank, a goofball, all because of his magnum opus. It's a lesson in a lot of things: be careful what you write, be careful what you wish for, your Great Book will define you, etc.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

You guys haven't read this? I haven't either but I'm sure it's full of scandalous stories about BRM.

At $5 I might pick that up. I bet it's full of gems.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I was trying to stay out of it. I'm just a caveman lawyer. All your Latin words confuse me.

I think Elder Uchtdorf has reached those heights in today's Church. Everyone wants him as prophet.
