I briefly got my hopes up that the Church was coming out in support of green tea smoothies. Turns out it's just green smoothies.

I wish the therapist has written the article instead of Callister. He may be a fine lawyer but he is not a first rate therapist.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostA response to the article from an LDS therapist:

That morality article reads like something from the 1970s.Originally posted by Topper View PostI thought the same.
The therapist makes a good point. "Self-abuse" is a poorly crafted phrase. If it's "abuse", you're doing it wrong."More crazy people to Provo go than to any other town in the state."

It was a strange article, but those will be generated from time to time as the Church struggles to find the balance.Originally posted by Solon View PostThat morality article reads like something from the 1970s.

The therapist makes a ton of more sense than E. Callister."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

We had a little dust up re: the Ensign this morning in our home. The cover of this month's Ensign is a little different than other covers...it is almost monochromatic and features a portrait of JFS. Reminds me almost of an old cigarette ad or something. There is a copy of it on our kitchen table. Anyhow, the puffy check were eating cereal for breakfast and one of them took a couple of bits of Lucky Charms (the oats part, not the marshmallow part) and placed them over JFS's eyes. They thought this was really funny. I sat down to eat breakfast and when they showed me, I also thought it looked kind of funny. MMM didn't think it was funny at all and told them not to put cereal on JFS's face. In a show of support, I also told them the same thing.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostAnyone who picks up an Ensign opens it and gets vexed deserves what they get. Not really sure where I am going with this story except to wonder whether any other board members have advised their children to refrain from putting cereal on the prophets face or if this is yet another of the many things that make me unique here?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I constantly harp on how the LDS church abuses and oppresses women but I also think it does horrible things to men. Callister is the ideal LDS male. He seems about as virile and flamboyant as a limp stalk of celery. I bet he's got the GC intonation down cold.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostWe had a little dust up re: the Ensign this morning in our home.
