When we lived in Pittsburg the student ward always wanted to start at 2:00 so we always had 10:00. That was nice.

There are three wards that meet in our building. Two of the wards rotate between the 11 and 1 slots. The 9:00 ward never changes. I'm not sure what that's about, but it's crap. 2014 is our 11 shift. It will be nice to get out of church while the sun is still up.

        OK, that made me laugh.

We are rotating from 9 am to 1 pm. I see some advantages of both, but I prefer 9 am.

One of the main reasons I go to church is because my kids love it. My son is seriously upset when we miss. I hate it.

9 am tomorrow. Looks like I'll get about 6 hours. So much for a day of rest.

It doesn't really matter what time the block starts

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Let's not forget the annual singing of Ring Out Wild Bells, typically on the first Sunday of the new year. Love it!

I hate 1:00 church. We were on 1:00 last year, and so are scheduled to go to 9:00 (my favorite. 7:30 is plenty late to sleep in). Unfortunately we have a big stake re-org tonight. All units in our stake except for two are affected. We live right near the junction of three different wards, so we could end up in any of those, or in the new ward that they are creating. We are meeting at 1:00 again today, and going forward we could be meeting at any time and in any of three buildings. If we are back on 1:00 I will not be happy.

We are the only congregation that meets in the stake center. We always starts at 10 am. We rarely make sacrament meeting. It has everything to do with our youngest who is completely out of control in those types of settings.

I especially hate Fast Sunday when we're doing the 1pm block. No eating until after it gets dark. I feel like I'm observing Ramadan.

                            Sounds like bad parenting.

We are also back to 9 am. I too like having the whole day left after church. The 9 am start time has the additional benefit of being a better excuse for missing Sacrament and/or the block because of sleeping in. It's a harder argument to make with 1 pm meeting time.
