          Yeah but NBA games, including playoffs, are really damn late on the east coast.

          I like DVRing NFL games -- the 30 second fast forward works well most of the time (not when the Eagles are on offense) and you can usually watch a game really fast.

            This. The Eagles and at times thr Broncos screw up my 30 second skip. Works great for my crappy Dolphins.

              I'm to the point that I can't watch anything live. I have to DVR and FF the commercials. In a blowout football game, it's really handy to skip between the downs, without wasting an extra 45 minutes or so. I can watch an NBA game is less than an hour, and still get every nuance of the game. I'm never going back to live.
