Judge Winmill is a life long member and was on the High Council of one of the Pocatello stakes. His older brother lived in Simi Valley when I was in middle school for a couple of years and was in my family's ward. The family grew up on a struggling and small farm in Moreland and all are graduates of the venerated Snake River High School. Pretty successful kids. Judge's older brother was my Deacon's adviser for a year or so-great man. No clue how his younger brother ended up an activist liberal but even Nephi had a couple of dickheads as siblings- so in now way does Judge Winmill's lack of conservative bonafides lead me to cast aspersions on ma and pa Winmill, the great incubator of the ol family farm or even the spectacular Moreland community. Shit just happens sometimes.

The Rockland boys hoop coach comes from the coaching hotbed of Malad, Idaho. He played under the legendary Terry Jones and is one of 3 of Terry's former players to already have won an Idaho State Basketball Championship- the other two are Terry's sons who coach at Preston and Rigby. From Ladell Anderson to Terry Jones to the great Shae Neal- the Malad Dragon Cradle of Coaches is legit! I know finally removing those angry short Welshmen from the potato famine allowed them to get a bit taller in Ol Oneida County, but it was a bit more than just proper nutrition and the spirit of the great and angry Dan Jones that fueled the legendary Terry Jones' collection of numerous state championships across 3 sports. What I am getting at is the great Shae Neal didn't need heavenly assistance for our recent victory amongst the rocky Snake River Plains in the town Acey Shaw made famous.

Saying that you folks have some very good shooters and most are underclassmen. Mike Torgerson's kid gives you just enough underneath that I think your boys might be my preseason team to beat for next year at our classification. I think our classification has punched above its weight class for a few years and my guess is things will be a bit down statewide for a few years-in comparison to these teams from Salmon River (Leighton Vander Esch), the private school dynasty years and now us with Teague Mathews and Kendrick with its once in a 200 years group of 5-6 future college athletes in the same graduating class from a community of 500.
