"The church has to spend donations in Australia on actual charity to get tax credit. But they are obviously cheating.

They couldn't be spending that much on charity here because we found some bitter ex-mos that insist the church doesn't spend much on charity.

Whaddya mean? They rely on "reports" from the Church itself that total global giving is around $70 million!

That $70 million a year is close to the amount the global church – whose strongest following is in the United States – itself says it gives each year on average throughout the world, according to its own annual reports.

BTW don't ask to see these reports.

And never mind this article from two years ago that reports "nearly $1 billion in combined humanitarian and welfare aid".

There was someone on Tiktok with a lot of followers on Mom-tok / Mormon-tok. She has recently declared that she's getting a divorce. She attributes that to her recent "soft swinging" with other member couples, which, from what I can tell, is a lot of P, a lot of V, but P-V is forbidden. Unless a spouse is present, or something? idk. She says that it turns out that Ps went into Vs anyway, and people like her husband got upset.

I’m sure a lot of people like it but I really don’t like the idea of my employer requiring me to give them 10% of my salary or I get fired.

Yeah, if someone views their payment of tithing as that kind of transaction, it may not work.

4-5 years ago they did a job satisfaction survey among US universities. BYU came in 2nd behind Harvard.
