If the church is serious about making this a "success" (in terms of lots of people watching it) then they should have just given it to Netflix, Amazon, youtube, etc. to distribute (i.e. instantly make it widely available to as many people as possible) and then use social media to promote it. I am guessing the main reason they are showing this in theaters is to try to recover the cost of making the movie.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostSeriously, if the Church is serious about making this a success then people should be told to rent out an entire theater and watch it instead of church.
I didn't hear a thing about it so I am guessing there is not a chance of it being shown in Texas."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Well that's a terrible attitude. Go to meetthemormons.com and find out how to get your local theater to show it right now!Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostI didn't hear a thing about it so I am guessing there is not a chance of it being shown in Texas."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. We got an announcement but no real encouragement to attend other than "it would be a great thing to invite no members to see." My bishop is suspect of the thing anyway so I'm surprised he even made that announcement.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostGetting the full court press on MTM today, with requests to only buy tickets on fandango.com, and the need to go on opening weekend to ensure distribution on amazon and netflix."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We just got the plug in EQ from our HC rep. Apparently, a member of the SP handled the duties during sacrament meeting, but I wasn't there. From the information I've heard, it will be showing in two theaters in all of Vegas. In the announcement, they only gave us two theater choices; one being a casino. [emoji33] And not one of the good ones. [emoji35]I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

Well make certain to place your bets as you drop by."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
