    This is just dumb. Either some folks are not paying attention, they have difficulty processing that which they observe, or they are being deliberately obtuse.

    1. Mormons are not a monolith of mindless obedience to every word that comes from their leadership
    2. Mormons readily criticize their leaders
    3. It shouldn’t be surprising that most people that choose to work for The Church say they enjoy working for The Church
    4. What JL said about the difference between a BYU faculty member publicly criticizing the church and responding to an anonymous job satisfaction survey

    Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

        Except you didn't. You ignored his words at the start of the talk where he specifically defined what he would be talking about in using the word "criticism." You also tried to stretch his talk to "church teachings that it is inappropriate to say anything negative about the church, even if true."

        If you or Green Monster could link to the "plenty of official statements from the church that its members shouldn't say anything bad about the church," I'd much appreciate it!

                          I watched episode four of UTBOH last night. It was mostly filler. Was there a big whodunit in the actual investigation that stretched for seemingly days? I don’t remember that.
