And of that 40 percent, 50 percent say they were raised in families who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I couldn't find any reference stating where they came up with that number. It is based on a USU graduate student's research, however.

Shall we subject seminary teachers and run-of-the-mill Sacrament Meeting speakers to the same scrutiny? How about Sunday School teachers? How about any number of GAs?

I've heard bat-shit crazy of the conservative variety on a routine basis at church and it is inevitably overlooked.

Could this be just the tiniest bit of the bias and alienating behavior that she references?

I did not see anywhere in the report that said they had been expelled from their homes either.
