I don't think the logic is that solid. "Sex is not just for recreation" obviously is inclusive of "sex is sometimes for recreation", so I'm failing to see why that has anything to do with why gay sex would be wrong.

OK then where do I read about what defines physical chastity/virtue versus spiritual chastity/virtue? I missed that lesson in Church I guess but am learning here that rape victims lose their physical chastity/virtue while married women who have sex do not lose it. Now I'm really confused. It's when a non-married penis and vagina contact each other that physical chastity/virtue is lost, regardless of circumstances?Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostNice try.

Given enough time, all discussions here will devolve into arguments about rape and hymen. You can call that the SoCalCoug Principle.Originally posted by jay santos View PostHow the hell did this devolve into an argument about rape and hymen? If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Elder Bednar quoted Moroni 9:9, a verse describing how raped women lose what is "most dear and precious above all things, which is chastity and virtue."Originally posted by jay santos View PostHow the hell did this devolve into an argument about rape and hymen?
Bo Diddley clarified that raped women do in fact lose their physical chastity and virtue. It's all pretty confusing.

Do we have any other examples of the SoCalCoug Principle in action?Originally posted by SoCalCoug View PostGiven enough time, all discussions here will devolve into arguments about rape and hymen. I'm pretty sure you understand what the scripture means, but you refuse to acknowledge the distinction. It's not THAT complicated.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostElder Bednar quoted Moroni 9:9, a verse describing how raped women lose what is "most dear and precious above all things, which is chastity and virtue."
