Not feeling any of it today. I'm going, but I don't want to.

I've had days like that. I hope you get some pleasant surprises for your efforts.

I don't want to go either. I have to give a talk.

My 5 year old tells me every week that he doesn't like church and doesn't want to go. I've arrived at a point where I tell him I don't like it either but we are both going anyway. Not really sure what kind of message this is sending him.

I was going to call you today. I have to know where to eat in New Orleans! So you should probably sneak away to take my call because it is just that important. What time should I call you? During Sunday School? Sacrament? Priesthood?
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

We are having conference as well. Went last night and loved it. The Stake center is an hour and forty five minutes away so I didn't go today. Many who go for both days stay in hotels. I'm in enough hotels for work. But it was a very good night for the soul.

Elder David Baxter of the Seventy spoke, one of the most down to earth, likeable, touching speakers I have heard. I cannot say enough good things about him.

I'm another who has a break stake conference this weekend. Is wearing a tie while watching football an effective way to invite the Spirit into my home?

I have ward conference today, which I would happily ditch, but I am speaking during 2/3 hour.

Stake conference today. No way I'm wrangling a wiggly 18-month-old for two hours. Today is Yoga Pants Sunday.
