    Several references to LDS church.

I think religion will survive, but it will most definitely be transformed.
It's just a set up for their next catchy headline … one of the more popular memes of popular news culture … “The Demise of religion due to the Internet is overstated.”

Hear that Surfah? The survival of religion depends on your continued willingness to help people move.

Whence arose all the horrid assassinations of whole nations of men, women, and infants, with which the Bible is filled; and the bloody persecutions, and tortures unto death, and religious wars, that since that time have laid Europe in blood and ashes; whence arose they, but from this impious thing called religion, and this monstrous belief that God has spoken to man? -- Thomas Paine

I disagree with him. I don't think religion is responsible for the evil things people have done any more than it is responsible for the good things. Religion is simply a reflection of ourselves.

Thomas has his opinion and I have mine.

I am not that good at history. Was Atilla the Hun a Christian? How about Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot (sp) Mao. Let me rephrase that, were they religious men?

I am not discounting the fact many terrible things have been done in the name of religion, but Thomas is being pretty narrow minded here to lay all the blame at the feet of religion.

Stalin was an atheist. But you know that, right?

So was Mao. And Pol Pot too. But you also know that, right?

They were aping religious movements. They had their own made up religions. But you know that; many here have tried to explain it to you.

Don't forget Obama. He is in the closet about that just like he was about gay marriage.

Do you realize how assinine that sounds? Anyone who is a maniacal and an abhorent leader and murderer of his people and others, somehow has their own religion and should be counted among the religious. Seriously LOL.

What do those of your persuasion say about people you probably admire, like Darwin? Is Darwinism a religion too?
