It doesn't look like this has been posted yet:

It looks like someone has to pick up the ball and run with it and this time it's the Pope.

In his remarks, Benedict quoted the chief rabbi of France, Gilles Bernheim, in saying the campaign for granting gays the right to marry and adopt children was an "attack" on the traditional family made up of a father, mother and children.
"People dispute the idea that they have a nature, given to them by their bodily identity, that serves as a defining element of the human being," he said. "They deny their nature and decide that it is not something previously given to them, but that they make it for themselves."
"The manipulation of nature, which we deplore today where our environment is concerned, now becomes man's fundamental choice where he himself is concerned," he said.

Also, everyone should read this. It is the first real data on what behaviors create negative outcomes for LGBTQ young people. Everyone needs to know the effects of what they are saying/doing.

I'm just confused by its purpose as it seems incredibly ambiguous. I think we can all agree that you can't vote on your gender.

It also (and you, btw) conflates the ideas of gender and sex, which are not the same thing.

which is only implicit because of the title (a deft reference to the proclamation)

I'm still floored by the whole thing! Unbelievable!

I'm just confused as to the purpose of the clip. Is the church trying to say that boys were boys in the premortal existence? If they are then what's the issue?

Im not trolling here as I guess I'm trying to figure out why this clip makes UD so angry.

I haven't been this angry since I found out that women are still allowed to have guns.
