                    I don't understand, either. All the guy is doing is sharing his beliefs. If you think the beliefs are weird, then fine. Everyone's beliefs are weird to a certain percentage of those who don't hold the same beliefs.

                    I don't, however, see the rationale in attacking DWhit as an individual. I admit I haven't read all of his posts. From what I've seen, though, his politeness when engaging others, willingness to answer questions and otherwise participate in dialogue without attacking individuals on the board, has been average to above-average (for an internet message board). Maybe you guys read something I didn't.

                                Abegglen failed miserably. How? The overall purpose of The Most Holy Book of Mormon was stated by the angel early on:
                                "He said there was a book deposited, written upon gold plates, giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent, and the source from whence they sprang. He also said that the FULNESS OF THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL WAS CONTAINED IN IT, AS DELIVERED BY THE SAVIOR to the ancient inhabitants." (JS-H 1:34)

                                Pray tell, how could someone study The Most Holy Book of Mormon for "45 years" and overlook the fact that Joe turned his back on the record and added yet a different gospel.
                                14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. (1 Cor. 9)

                                8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
                                9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Gal. 1)
