Was a greenie in the city. Trainer was a kind missionary but didn't follow the white bible. Thing is, members liked him and he baptized. There was a young couple getting the discussions. Got baptized and wanted to show us appreciation. Had a small swimming pool at their house and invited us. Thing is, they didn't know the devil controlled the waters. I felt bad, but not bad enough to say no. Trainer and I had fun, but I felt sad at apartment. Begged God for forgiveness, but didn't receive it immediately. Felt better next day though. Learned to love my trainer, even if damned himself on mission. Thing is, he brought the gosple to many people, so God will judge him righteously.

ZLs left zone to go coon hunting in middle of night with member. AP's called at midnight about another missionary no answer.

Wait, that was me. Comp sweet-talked AP's. never caught.

Remote Chilean town. Campo. Companion had 20 months, had never trained a greenie. Comp spent *a lot* of time with family of 16 year old Chilena. Makes me uncomfortable. I xfer out, he trains greenie. Goes home. He flies back down. Marries her. Takes her back to the USA.

WTF knows if he did something wrong while with his greenie, but we seriously spent hours a day at their place. I was Jr comp and basically ended up standing in their doorway refusing to enter, with the door open, in the winter, until he'd leave. Sucked.

          This one is mine:
Go to an area with 21 months completed. I assume I'll be there until I leave. Meet great family. Get dad off drugs and constant drinking. Teach the entire family of 4. Committed to baptism. Shortly afterwards, I am involved in emergency transfer shuffle because a DL and his comp got caught making out with each other (according to mission rumor). I'm f*ing pissed off. Somehow they found the phone number where I was xfered. Called me, asked me to baptize them. Mission prez says no. I say f* that. Get on bus with comp to cross town. Baptize family. Their son ended up serving a mission.

          EDIT: corrected a few details

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

True. After they returned home, Uncle Ted's story also becomes applicable here:
A couple of missionaries in a remote area decided they needed a vacation. They filled out their weekly reports in advance and gave them to the landlady district leader to send in for them. The landlady district leader misunderstood their instructions and sent the reports the next day instead at the end of the week. The mission office noticed the discrepancy and sent the AP and his comp to camp out at the missionaries' apartment to see what was going on.

Did not hear about this one. Maybe this happened after I left.

This thread is gold. Funny stuff.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

The last two happened after you left I thought. Both missionaries were Caucasian. Were you referring to the naughty ABCs?

District leader was training greenie. Told comp had baptism interview with young woman so went into classroom in church. Banged her in classroom. Felt guilty and told pres, sent home.

And then they installed windows in all the classroom doors.

Well the incident I was referring to, it was caucasian and ABC who left the mission and partied.

The incident you're referring to about the two Naughty ABCs, was in a way related to incident above. But they never left the mission, they just played in the remote part of the mission. I'm still friends with both of them.

P-Day with Zone at the beach. BBQ/Sand/ Nice sun. Girls in Bikini's show up. We don't leave, but we didn't mind the scenery. Really obvious who was there at Zone Conference later that day, since nobody wore sunscreen

I almost drowned on my mission. I left my companion in the apartment and went down to the beach for some sun. After a while I decided to go for a swim and got caught in a rip current and couldn't back to the shore. It took me half an hour to get back, and at the time I was sure I wasn't going to make it. I learned later that locals never swam on that beach because of the dangerous currents. Apparently in third world countries they don't post signs.

Elder liked to party, but had lots of baptisms, so mostly forgotten. Showed off pictures of clubbing in Campinas, but this wasn't Campinas mission. Made trainer. Started having overnight splits with one of the sisters. Greenie Elder and Sister get transferred, Elder and Sister sleep-over get sent home.

Seriously, I know this kind of thing happens, but it always blows me mind.

Elder: "Sister, it's so great that you've decided to be baptized."
Girl: "Yeah, I'm so glad I've found the church."
Elder: "Tell me about your testimony."
Girl: "I believe in my savior Jesu-"
                                Elder: "Wanna screw?"
