I am not sure why, but that pic reminds me of Ringo Starr. I thought everybody's 4th favorite Beatle was great in Caveman, in a campy sort of way (or perhaps Barbara Bach just made me feel funny and happy):

I never understood why people would tell me that "Mormons are not Christians because they don't believe in the Virgin birth". Well, that would be because we tend to believe that HF is the LITERAL earthly father of Jesus, but never can quite get past the icky implication that God the Father impregnated Mary (thus rendering her a non-Virgin).

But this also brings in a sticky doctrinal question: Is HF 'married' to Mary? If so, was she one of his daughters (gag) or was she a 'wife' brought here from another world? Perhaps this is one of those things which will be 'sorted out in the Millenium' (along with the ancestral records of the Homo Sapiens who walked the earth for the 90k - 150k+ years prior to the invention of written language, and whether iced tea and iced coffee counts as a 'hot drink', but I digress).

Solon or someone similar could expound on the reasons why the Hebrew name for 'Young woman' (Almah, עלמה )was translated into Greek as 'virgin', and thus the last couple of millenia we have been focused excruciatingly on the 'virtue' of women, when the original scripture intended to indicate only that 'a young woman will conceive and bear a son...'.

Are you then saying that Jesus got all his DNA from Mary?

It seems reasonable that since he was conceived by Mary in some shape or form with God and had power over death and could fast for 40 days that he probably is part divine as Indy suggested.

By the way the Immaculate Conception is not what you said. Mary was the product of the Immaculate Conception, Christ was merely the result of a virgin birth.

I don't think the God of the universe would find it too difficult to impregnate a virgin without having sex, when reproductive endocrinologists do that every day.
