    Also, it depends on who you are calling a prophet. There was ecclesiastical leadership and the leaders came from within the system, generally, except for when there was a change to the system.

          I love that once again the lesson on an important and even family-related holiday is about something completely unrelated. Abinadi has been done to death so my wife and I prepared individual mother's gifts and my lesson is centered around the sacrifice of motherhood.

          My hope is that one day they will let creative, thoughtful people put together the lesson manuals (I am neither but I know the church is filled with them).
