    Are you praying daily?
    With your spouse?
How often are you attending the temple?
    etc.

It was highly inappropriate, and he wasn't getting much response and thankfully ended the whole thing just as I was about to tell him that if we want a confession, he can know that I'm not doing any of those things he's asking about very well, though it's really none of his business as my "district leader" whose job it is to gather home teaching numbers every month.

But I'm not offended. Just annoyed. I'm hoping I they don't ask me to attend another PPI soon as I figure we already got that out of the way.

I would love to hear someone just respond. This is a real struggle man to even get out to church let alone do those things. I have a second job becuase I am two house payments behind. My wife and I don't go to the Temple because with my work hours and the amount of time she spends taking care of her sick parents, well we don't even have time to have a quickie. I guess you heard Jr. got caught using MJ the other day with a couople of other kids in the ward. I am going to try to get him to stop hanging out with those kids, but I don't think FHE and daily scripture reading is appealing to him yet, maybe later.

I envy all you guys who have everything going so well in your lives you have time to do these things. Maybe I should quit my job, tell my wife to send her folks to a care center and we should get doing this stuff. I will be mightly blessed, you promise I will right. Johnny will quit MJ and go on a mission if I do, right.

On the other hand, the EQ has a very valid point to make if he is talking to me. I have plenty of time to do those things and they are much more fruitful than watching the talk show pundits, which by the way I have vowed to not watch for at least a month.

You know that Lent is not for another month or two, so you should be good to go til then...

Agree with the sentiment of your post. I've been tempted to reply when asked how my family is doing with FHE: "Well, my kids have music tutoring on Monday nights; sports practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights, YM/YW on Wednesday nights; plus my spouse and I both work and there's a strong chance one of us will be working late on any given night. Not to mention the homework that comes with HS kids taking AP and honors classes that can consume an entire evening. So we try to hold FHE on Sunday. But after our block of meetings I have: 1) home teaching 2) Scout Committee meeting followed by 3) Sitting in on several Board of Reviews for rank advancements and then 4) YM precidency meeting. So which do I cancel so we can have FHE?" It's not like we don't want to follow this counsel - we don't have time to schedule some of these things because of other church meetings/activities.

Time is not a real issue for me. I'd rather watch TV. My kids are small. Me, wifey and the kids spend almost every night together. I'm calling it good without a dedicated FHE. I know some people think a 5 minutes lesson to a 3 and 5 year old will do wonder for when they are older...I just don't agree.
