Speaking of changes one might like to see, as soon as we accept gay marriage, I would like to move onto sex between two single consenting adults.

The church has to get out of the position of being inconsistent. If you want laws to prevent gay marriage in Utah, you should also push to have laws to ban sex out of marriage.

On the other hand, if you accept gay marriage, you should declare sex between heterosexuals (both single) is also OK.

Last I checked, Utah outlawed fornication and adultery. I'm sure there's case law that makes those laws unconstitutional, but I think they're still on the books.

I tried to give the bishop about 10% of our squash increase from our garden once. He said no thanks.

Our bishop takes surplus vegetables from gardens, and distributes them to those in need in the ward.

Last year, I had a good talk with my bishop about my beef with tithing settlement. This year, I've received no calls or passive-agressive hallway chats about tithing settlement. It's been nice.
