Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are the rights. I think the 2nd Amendment helps us protect those three."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Is it not common for a LDS to marry another LDS in a second or third marriage and not be sealed to them? Actually, that's the norm if the wife has already been sealed. I'm sure you know of this so that whole "non-member" and sealing explanation just doesn't fly with me.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostTwo reasons:
1. I don't want to have to explain to my kids why I'm sealed to two women.
2. My wife has sworn to return from the grave to kill me if I am sealed to another woman.

I won't marry a women who has kids or who wants to have kids, which basically weeds out all divorced mormon women or Mormon women who have never been married.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

And they have to be more attractive than Chloe Sevigny, right? Good luck with that.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostFew additional rules for remarriage:

But seriously, are there are lot of women out there with no kids that don't want kids? I would think that's going to backfire on you. Even if they say they don't want kids, unless they're physically unable to or definitely past the age, the biology is going to kick in, and they're going to want a baby.

My rules for remarriage:
1. I want someone smarter than me. I hate explaining things to people more than once unless I'm getting paid to do it.
2. She has to love my kids as much as she loves me. My love life cannot screw up their lives.
3. She has to agree to only make dishes out of canned tuna when I am away for more than three days, and then, only on the first or second day, immediately putting the cans and trash in the outside container.
Other than that, as long as she likes sex, movies, books, and listening to me pontificate, we're golden. I'm game for her kids, new kids, adopted kids.
However, life without Mrs. wuapinmon would never ever be as good. I'm sure there are other people with whom I could make it work, but we're so used to one another and compliment each other so well, that even if I fell in love with someone else, there would forever be a gaping hole in my heart, a vast emptiness in the portion that I've given to her that she fills with what she's given to me."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. You need to ammend those rules. What if you become widowed later in life when your kids have reached adulthood along with the children of Mrs. GM II?Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostFew additional rules for remarriage:

What if the future Mrs. GM II is hot...and LDS.
Just sayin'. I've got an Uncle who's on his third marriage. His first two wives died. All were LDS; he's only sealed to his first wife (others were sealed to their first husband). I have yet to meet his new wife but his second wife was much more attractive than his first.
But I do agree with you. If I should find myself widowed or single, I would seriously consider marrying a non-member but would still consider LDS.
As far as kids go, my wife and I have the understanding that our accumulated assets will go to our children and not a future spouse or the children of a future spouse. If either one of us wants to deal with more kids or someone else's kids...good luck.
Good advice but there will be the occassional blow to the male ego...Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostMy rules for remarriage:

Son 1: Dad, I need help with my Calculus homework. I can't solve this integral...
PBW: l'll help you figure it out. I'll get my college Calc book...
Son 1: That's OK, I'll ask Mom.
PBW: ???
Son 2: Is Dad going to help you?
Son 1: He has to brush up on the material. That could take forever...I'm asking Mom.
Son 2: Yeah, Mom should figure it out pretty quick. Should have asked her first.
Son 1: It's the last of my homework. Better finish yours so we can play Black Ops before lights out.
Son 2: Almost done. You probably want to ask Dad to proof read an English paper or something so he doesn't feel bad about the Math stuff.
Son 1: Good idea. But not until we're done playing Black Ops. He'll feel the need to talk about it...“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

That'd just make me laugh. Mrs. wuap is way smarter than I am, even though she doesn't believe it. Brilliant women are the pinnacle of female sexiness.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostYou need to ammend those rules. I told danimal that if anything were to happen to him that I was going for a guy who had kids who were grown or mostly grown. I don't want any more and I don't want to raise someone else's. so yeah, I guess I'll be going for some old dude.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostMy rules for remarriage:

Navigating the dating scene post Mormonism and as a mid-30s mother of three would be terrifying for me, so you better not kick the bucket danimal! What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.
