Thanks to all who have responded to my questions. I am learning that I approach corrective actions cautiously and deliberately and tend to err on the side of less intervention. This conversation is also helpful in that it causes me to consider situations wherein I should consciously deviate from my natural tendencies.

It is nice to have a place like the Foyer as a safe place to have my beliefs and opinions challenged and/or confirmed.

I saw nothing wrong with the letter. He sent a letter ensuring members to try and be fair in all their doings and directly related to this recent disaster..

A person can either, take his advise or roll their eyes at it.. Sounds like it was nothing more then a gentle reminder and did not take any agency etc away. If those feel threatened by it then maybe they are feeling guilty..

      Molehill imo..

Seriously, I don't need that kind of steward in my life. I treasure genuine friends, not assigned ones. Probably why I try to keep HT'ers at arm's length.

I suppose once you've bought into enforcing others to maintain the honor code (for their own good, of course), then ratting out HT'ing families is a next logical step?
