We need to live our lives in the Gospel, "All in," from the Bishop. I thought about calling him on it, but I folded.

This reminds me of elementary school when we were choosing up sides for softball. The two captains would be looking at the crowd of kids, all of them eagerly hoping to be picked, and crestfallen if they were passed over. I never thought of the witness couple that way. Until now. We have only been the witness couple once. It was my wife's second time going through (the first time after she took out her own endowments, so the first time doing a proxy). It was kind of fun having a session having a completely clueless Eve.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostToday's theme for Sac was forgiveness. I have always thought that the reason we are never picked is that we are usually rushing in to the session right before the doors close, but now I suppose it could be due to something that is not right in my wife's life.

I went to the temple once in 1996 on a date. We were asked to be the witness couple. If sin keeps you from being the witness couple, thoughts don't count."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Sister speaker:
Being a SAHM is Gods plan for every woman in the world. I am glad I headed the call.
Male speaker: (EQP...and I am in his Presidency)
The Priesthood is Gods gift to man. It is how he requires that we run his Church.
Motherhood is Gods gift to women.
Men can't be a mother. It is against Gods will. Same goes for women and the Priesthood.
Winner.

I learned that if we willfully sin, the atonement will not work for us and we can't be saved in the CK. I was left to ponder what it means to unwillfully sin? I must be very righteous. I've been asked twice, and I'm still single.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIf you haven't been asked to be the witness couple at the temple, you need to ask yourself why and then change whatever isn't right.

Willful in a legal setting usually means an act that is done with bad intentions or an evil motive as opposed to something that was merely volitional.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI learned that if we willfully sin, the atonement will not work for us and we can't be saved in the CK. Still curious why the atonement wouldn't work there.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostWillful in a legal setting usually means an act that is done with bad intentions or an evil motive as opposed to something that was merely volitional."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right?
