    This is right.

Although I am always open to receiving messages from people who find me attractive.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

    • Four hours before church today, I was asked to substitute as the teacher for the gospel doctrine class. I then began preparing a lesson. However. one hour before church began, I received word that the air conditioning was out in all parts of the building exept the chapel and that second hour classes had been canceled. Our Heavenly Father answers our prayers.

      • We're soft and entitled - not being able to have GD class in the Chapel.

In our ward, we could have GD class in the Chapel. The problem would be when the ward that comes after us begins their Sacrament Meeting 20 minutes into class.

I would guess that is the issue with any building that has multiple wards meeting in it. Definitely if there are 3+

I love reading posts where gospel doctrine is shortened to GD. It makes for humorous reading in my head.

As one who thought the same thing, I then ask, "How do we know GD was supposed to stand for gospel doctrine?"

I was a GD teacher for a few years. That was a fun calling.

I taught the class pre-Come, Follow Me. A lot of members were upset because I didn't regurgitate the manual. I only taught the class for about 10 months. I'm not complaining

                    • Our GD class today was outstanding. The instructor was well prepared and brought some fascinating insights into the material. Input from class members was great - thoughtful and not long-winded. I am spoiled.

Yeah, I didn't care much about the manual either. The important thing is to dig into the scriptures and talk about the stories and find meaning in them. I was a little intimidated by the Old Testament before I started that year, but it was great.

Utah Saints have it so easy - you should try being in the mission field for a few years.

Prepared teachers - fascinating insights - class member input (sans UFO's , Bigfoot and Trump) - the stuff of dreams.

Ha mission field. Haven’t heard that phrase in a while. We had friends move from Utah to Oregon, and they exclaimed to us, ‘it’s great to be in the mission field again’. And I was like, ‘bitch I’ve been in the mission field most of my life!’

                            • My wife gave her final GD lesson today. She was given a going away present in the form of a lesson hijacking by the resident hijacker. I wasn't there due to my calling, so I am relying on hearsay, but I think spousal testimony is an exception because if you cannot believe your spouse, who can you believe.

She doesn't mind. Her new calling is a reward for services rendered. Primary pianist.
