Across the LDS Church many people will be asking "why Utah and not BYU?" Well, that may be a hard question for many to answer. Will "bigotry" be the answer that satisfies? I hope many thoughtful and ranging discussions ensue. This could be the catalyst for a great enlightenment.

Pac 10 exclusion as good as an apology?

I don't think the PAC10 is prejudice against individual mormons. I think they have a prejudice against the organization and BYU, by choice, is a an extension of that organization. Whether the prejudice rises to the level of biggotry, I don't know.
I do think based on the things that usually make a program attractive to another conference, BYU has the upper hand.

Most folks outside of the Intermountain area already think Utah and BYU are one in the same.Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostI think it will be funny when the School that Brigham Young founded goes to the Pac 10 and acquires the reputation as "The Mormon School.""Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

One of the funniest things I read on CB was a guy asking if now that Utah and CU are in the Pac, Woody Paige will be disparaging Utah for being Mormon.Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostI think it will be funny when the School that Brigham Young founded goes to the Pac 10 and acquires the reputation as "The Mormon School."When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

If someone accused me of being from Provo, I would punch them in the face. Says the guy who lives in Murray, UT?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Murray has 30mph speed limits where it should be 35Originally posted by Shaka View PostEasy there tiger. Murray is a very good place to live. I lived in Provo for over ten years and would much rather live in Murray.
In any case, I just found it odd that someone living in Murray commented on what people out of the Intermountain area think."Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
