I would add that there were mason's who were upset that he was teaching/entering women through the ritual(I have a mason source somewhere in the bag o' sin)"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

One of the interesting things this guys said is that there is nothing higher than a master mason. Degrees mean that additional things have been done, but they are still subordinate to the title of master mason. Sort of like becoming an eagle scout, but then continuing to get lots of merit badges.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostA guy I home teach has the fact that they are a 32nd degree Mason in their electronic signature.

Dan, I think you meant to say that Joseph believed masonic rituals were ancient rites. BTW, they were a big fad for quite a while. Even our founding fathers were Masons to a large extent. We still have all those weird symbols on our money. War and Peace has a very interesting dramatization of a Masonic lodge that goes on for several chapters. I don't think Tolstoy thought much of them ultimately. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

It is what I tried to say, but I can see what the antecedent of "this" is was not totally clear.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostDan, I think you meant to say that Joseph believed masonic rituals were ancient rites. no but i'm not sure there's anything wrong with that. i never had an issue with js stealing masonry for the church. the symbols may be stolen but the message might still be correct.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostThe endowment was adapted from masonic rituals. Is there any debate about that?
