Yeah, I'm sure he'd be all about slaughtering the unborn.

My guess would be that he'd not affiliate with any party.

He condemns certain choices, but allows us to make those choices none the less.

( I would guess that he would be an independant )

Yes, he allows us to make those choices. Kind of like mandating the purchase of health insurance?

Now you are arguing that all democrats act like Jesus, and that just isn't so.

I'm just taking your statement that you think Jesus would be a Democrat and asking to make sure that you really believe that.

That is a good talk. Peter is a great guy.

I would like to see more of this at conference.

                    I absolutely believe it.

When I lived in Vegas, Harry Reid was in my ward.

He was not there very often - not surprising, since he spent most of his time in Washington.

When he was there, he dressed nicely but not ostentatiously (preferred a navy blazer with gold buttons and tan slacks - this was in 1999 you will recall). He and his wife would always sit on the back row. They were very quiet and unobtrusive, and if you didn't know who they were you would never know they were there. Things may be different now that he is Senate Majority Leader.

Many members of the ward openly broadcast their disgust for him. The disgust was all based around his politics. Whenever he would show up, a whisper would go around from many people, look at the horrible Harry Reid, he's here today, I can't believe that guy. Hatred of him was openly discussed at ward functions when he was not there.

It was very inappropriate and offended me then, as an exceptionally conservative Republican. It offends me more now, as a moderate/slightly liberal unaffiliated voter.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Lets not forget Elder Lavell Edwards address in I believe the priesthood session in November 1984. I think we can all agree he, and the church at large for following his counsel, was richly blessed for his service in the church that year.

I am hoping that if Reid loses this fall the Church makes him a mission president. Heads would explode all over Utah.

It's more likely he will be ambassador to Canada. In fact, I bet every Dem who loses his/her seat this fall will have a very soft landing arranged. Except for those who voted "no." They'll be back home in their districts, working at the hardware store.

                                Probably; he was a Jew.
