        Not really ... well I think that overstates it. But I don't think it is a particular focus ... I actually don't think it is a big deal either. I think the thing I would like to really see incorporated more is explicit discussion of an "LDS hermeunetic." But that's a tough one because if we have one it is at best implicit. So who teaches it?

            Who knows? While some people identify an anti-intellectual bias among LDS leadership, it's probably better stated as an "anti anti-LDS intellectual bias". As Elder Hafen's remarks show (linked by scottie yesterday),

            Here, the internet poster is the "flippant" ignoramus and the erudite "scholar" is the defender of the faith. Quite a switch from what we might expect.
