Seeing People Lie About Seeing Ghosts/Supernatural Forces.

There were 2 different occasions on one of our mission's where one of us was present at an alleged exorcism. Both occasions, one of us saw nothing but an emotionally unstable person. However, other missionaries claimed to see levatation, hear voices, and feel evil spirits.

Okay, so we can't argue with what someone else "feels", but we trust outright physical observations; one of us saw or heard completely different things than most others present at these events. The stories of levatation varied depending on whose story it was.

Our take on this is that the stories of levatation were fabricated. We don't know whether the other missionaries made this up in attempt to have a good story to tell when they got home or what. But one of us knows for a fact that what they said they saw did not happen.

Does anyone else have stories of seeing people lie about supernatural experiences?

Is someone more righteous if they can see evil spirits? We've been taught, and believe, that one can receive inspiration from the Holy Ghost depending on righteousness, but is one more receptive to evil spirits as well?

We still think that the more likely explanation is that some people feel obliged to have a story or two to tell, and make things up. Others do not, and see things how they are.

That's just our opinion, and we were simply wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or feels the same way.

When "we" arrived at our mission home in the field, "we" stayed the first night in the basement. "We" got talking about evil spirits and then "we" felt this horrible presence. Yes, "we" felt "them". One guy blurted out, you's get the f
out of here. Nothing happened, it only got worse.

Then one guy talked "we's" into praying and asking "them" to leave. "They" left.

Six months later "we" talked about it and decided "they" weren't real, just figments of our imagination. Does that answer you's question.
