Actually that's not exactly how it went down. I got Falafel his job at Media Play.(I too was a cashier)...he was looking for a job during the holidays... He worked like 2 or 3 times shifts...and then he gave the manager his complicated and FULL vacation schedule. So...the dude gets hired to help alleviate the holiday crowds...and then he turns around and tells the store he isn't available to work around the holidays.Originally posted by falafel View PostI worked at the Ft. Union store for a Christmas season (until they stopped scheduling me for new shifts...
) I was a cashier. The strangest part was right before closing, when all of the dudes brought up their porn movies to buy. They always came to my register, and never to Amy's.
Best part about this story... he remembers something totally different and false. He claims they just stopped giving him shifts.

... *head hung low*... no, in truth I remember the full, painful story. Its my mom that doesn't remember.Originally posted by scandell View PostActually that's not exactly how it went down. But I think I had been there like 4 or 5 shifts at that point. AND, they gave me shifts throughout the holiday season. AND I only *demanded* ONE day off. Not that complicated.
Still, I was a horrible employee. And further still, I doubt that the normal industry method for letting seasonal help go is to just pretend like they were never there. You've got to admit, that was bizarre.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yes I have. I'm not married but the invitation was explicit and I would even say downright forceful.
I did make Nancy proud, though.

I'm curious what it means that none of the women of the board participated in this competition?
The only time I ever remember being propositioned was by a local sportseditor and known ego.
He suggested that he and I might should "hook up."
I told him that I was flattered but that I was married.
He replied, 100% sincerely, "That's okay. In fact, I prefer it that way."

I worked with a guy who was an unabashed adulterer. He, too, preferred married women because he said they were discrete. He liked the fact that they had something to lose if word of the indiscretion came out.Originally posted by Babs View PostI'm curious what it means that none of the women of the board participated in this competition?
