  • How about this option. Abolish GC because I don't like it when the men or the women speak.

Actually. You don't need to abolish it because I don't watch it anyway. I find it annoying.

Why would it be annoying? I don't have to go anywhere. I am in my own home so I am not obligated to laugh at any jokes that are not funny. I can comment on the one AA male member of MOTAB getting more exposure than the word "Heartbreaker" in some of my favorite cinematic climaxes without offending anyone other than my wife. I don't have to shave. I can wear any color I want, or nothing at all. Further, I find the talks far more interesting than a normal sunday.

I would prefer it once a quarter!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I propose that when we hand CUFies out that we subtract the number of posts made by the thread starter for purposes of determining highest post count. I mean, the award is really about how much you got other people talking, right?

Definitely true. There was a time in the church where the only place men cowered in fear and trembling before the women, was in the privacy of their own homes. In public men were Kings.

I vote we go to a paper option. Save everyone a lot of time. Just print it up and send it to our mail boxes. Those who want to read it can read it.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I enjoy conference. For the reasons you mention. Also it is the only time I hear the brethern from the pulpit chastise the membership for their arrogant and self righteous ways. Lighten up, I think is what was said.

If only people would listen we would hear less ranting from true blue fans and perhaps strive to play a good home schedule every year.

I was just telling Super two days ago that IMO they are very, very numerous. They do, however, often get overturned when the right person gets focused on them. I have to think that chatter amongst the members factors into that. I see nothing devious in it, we are just guided by tradition in many things and even when no one can say how or why something began, "we have always done it that way" can be a powerful reason to continue.

I don't imagine there is any doctrinal reason it should be only men. God doesn't command in all things, but the members sure want Him to. Therein lies part of the problem.

Hello!!!! Stake Conference!!! That makes it quarterly.
