I'm going to answer the question asked:

    Is sex sacred?

Yes. The way I do it, yes, it is.
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Not sure about sacred, but if you're doing it right, deity will be invoked at some point.

You made me imagine a potential scene from a Woody Allen film...

impossibly beautiful woman, naked, on top of typical Woody Allen character. She is VERY into her lovemaking efforts. Low angle camera takes in view from the foot of the bed, where Woody's bare feet point parallel to the ceiling. Feet are in sharp focus as woman writhes in blurry bokeh. Impossibly beautiful woman evokes deity, then:

Woody: I may be Jewish but that doesn't mean I'm a God fearing man...

short pause as she continues writhe, which we only see in the reflection in Woody's glasses.

Woody: ...I'm not afraid to admit that I'm afraid of some things, like boiled eggs, salmonella is a real killer, but I just don't think that there is much to be afraid of in the God department. I'm an atheist! There, I said it. And you, there, are obviously a God fearing woman.

another short pause. Impossibly beautiful woman is nearing climax.

Woody: I find it so awkward, bringing it up. There really isn't ever a good time to bring up the atheism. You probably don't know what it feels like, the loneliness of being an atheist. And I'm not just talking about being alone in the cosmos either. I'm talking about people. A lot of people don't like atheists. We're a persecuted minority. I'm an atheistic Jew. Do you know what that means? We're the Jews that the Jews hate. If Hitler was a Jew, we're the Jews he would have been sending to Auschwitz. Anyhow, I know that bringing up the atheism thing can be awkward. Am I making you feel awkward?

Impossibly beautiful woman reaches down and grabs two hairy fistfuls of Woody's flabby old-man chest and pulls him up to her. The camera is now behind the woman's back where we see Woody's face, eyeglasses off kilter and eyes showing signs of distress as impossibly beautiful woman lets loose a primal scream.

What was the purpose of bumping this thread without a comment? Seems really weird to me.

Because the board was boring yesterday, and this was a funny thread from a long time ago; sometimes people have new thoughts when they revisit their old posts, and newcomers can add something to the conversation. And, I've got column inches to add to what's already in print.

The better question is why is this thread "especially" worrisome for you? Or even still, what are you doing in the Foyer?
