Some jerk just left a 4 pound jug of Costco Jelly Belly's on my desk.

ugggh! The mere thought of circus peanuts make me ill. The world's worst excuse for candy.....ever.

Necco wafers are disgusting. The flavors, not the idea. They just can't get it right. Black licorice does not belong in any candy besides black licorice (which I love). Interestingly enough, one of my favorite candies is conversation hearts, which are made by Necco. If they'd only use the flavors from the hearts in the wafers, then I'd have a year-long snack.

In addition to circus peanuts, I also enjoy orange slices and lemon drops, although I don't regularly buy them.

Honestly, your taste in candy is downright deplorable. Get back to me when you're singing the praises of Chic-o-sticks and Sixlets.

Chic-o-sticks are surprisingly good. It is like what the center of a butterfinger should be.

There are so many classic candies that were thrown to the way-side in order to make room for new and "more exciting" candy. Take the newest offerings from Nestle (I think they're the newest): Fast Break and Take 5. They're just throwing the same old elements together in a new form. Chocolate, peanut butter, nougat. At least Take 5 introduced the pretzel, as much of a failure as that was.

Really, there's not much else that can be done in the candy world, and I don't see why we can't celebrate all candy. I had a Big Hunk the other day (first time since I was given one right before one of the dances at EFY when I was 15). It was delicious. Another awesome candy that is often forgotten: Charleston Chew. Get the minis and put them in the fridge before eating them. Awesome.

For the record, my wife loves Sixlets. I do not enjoy the particular chocolate they use. Chic-o-stix are not the best candy out there.

They taste great when washed down with a nice cold sasparilla.

I am pretty sure it is not chocolate.

I am headed out the door as we speak. The soda fountain is just around the corner and my pa might give me a switchin' if I'm late getting home.

Maybe you should have some bicarbonate soda to settle your stomach. I am sure falafel keeps some handy, right next to his wood burning stove.

I could eat like 8 butterfingers in a row, everyday.

Or an entire 9x13 yellow cake with chocolate frosting, right now.

                          And I can't even get started on ice cream . . . . .
